Performing together since 2001, The Soenen Sisters are a talented ensemble of harp, cello, flute, and vocals, bringing stellar performances to the concert stage as well as more private and personal venues. Located in Southern Ontario, they have performed together extensively, performing both public concerts and private functions in many venues in Toronto,Hamilton, Edmonton, Kitchener, Simcoe, Lynedoch, Guelph and more.Their repertoire is broad, ranging from popular classical, baroque and romantic, pop, broadway, jazz and celtic. Together, they have recorded 4 CDs, Songs and Carols of Christmas (2005), Remembrance (2007), Sentimental Reasons (2008), and In the Bleak Midwinter (2009).
With experience in traditional concert hall settings and informal dinner events together with wedding
perfomances and much more, the Soenen Sisters are sure to delight audiences of any kind with their

Charlene Soenen-Westerveld - flute, vocals
Charlene is a flautist and vocalist and has been playing and performing for over ten years She has a BA in music - vocal performance and flute - from Redeemer University in Ancaster, Ontario. She is also an active teacher of voice, flute, recorder, and piano in the Cambridge area. Charlene dedicates all her musical endeavors to God who has given her all of her gifts.
Lisa Soenen - harp and piano
Lisa is an award winning harpist with a flare for creativiy and a passion for musical excellence. . She has a BA in music - harp performance and is a very active performer and teacher of harp and piano. She also teaches Music for Young Children in the Simcoe area. Soli deo gloria!
Julie Soenen-Borgdorff - cello, vocals, and piano
Julie is a cellist, pianist and vocalist and is a regular performer for different orchestras, concerts, and special events. She is also a composer and has written a number of solo piano works. She has a degree from Redeemer University majoring in cello and voice performance. She is a busy teacher of cello, piano, and voice in the Simcoe, Brantford, and Hamilton areas. She wants to use her gifts to glorify God in every way she can.
Rosemary Soenen - harp, vocals, percussion
Rosemary is a very talented harpist who particularly loves celtic music. She often joins Julie in harp/ cello duets. She also loves to play the bohdran, tin whistle, piano, and recorder, and has a passion for singing. She is in her first year at Wilfrid Laurier Waterloo taking an honours music degree in harp, after having spent the last year obtaining a diploma in theology from Gillespie Academy - Woodstock.
